ben kweller had a song of the day once, with the bens.  but today, ben – you get your own.  things i like to do (lyrics and chords).  congrats.  why?  because the song’s fun.  and meaningful.  and i feel charitable.  i can’t hate on you just because you had one song on here with a few other bens.  just like i can’t hate on – oh i don’t know – ben gibbard with death cab and postal service and jay farrar and andrew kenny.

so alt-rock on ben kweller.  his newest album, changing horses, is definitely his furthest into the realm of altcountry and highly enjoyable.  even if it is only 10 songs.  itunes – i blame you!  that’s a diatribe for a different time, but think about music trends, economics, itunes, album prices, and music revenue streams… and you can put all the pieces together for why itunes is pushing everyone towards shorter albums and more premium content.  ugg!
