i can’t exactly explain the appeal. it sounds rough, the falsetto is not polished, but there is an odd appeal to this song that transcends reason. it just defies rational thought that you should want to listen to it again. and again. but you want to. it’s ok. embrace it. the song is catchy. the lyrics are enjoyable. the tune is quick, and the sound is evocative. sort of like this guy right here. you love him, huh! can’t help it. me too. i think it’s the hanky in his pocket really. that sealed the deal.
the song was put out in a single a few years ago, then as part of ep, only to finally land on a full length recently with merge. glad they haven’t tampered with it…
