some of the aces in my sleeves were slid up there by my peeps. it is hard not to be influenced by others’ taste in music.
unless you grew up in a cave or in m. night shyamalan’s village, no doubt others have influenced your musical taste.
parents and family start. then peers. and so on. and so forth. blogs now. darn those anti-establishmentarians who ironically are now en vogue. shame about that. you can spot them wearing their chucks and tight fitting american apparell clothes.
i digress. skipping over whitney houston, chicago, and bruce from my youth, here are a few in order of introduction.
the grateful dead; classic, and the lithuanian national basketball team jersey, inspired by 
the dead. among their many hits, loose lucy is a rare track that is fun to sing along to.
the black crowes; i can still remember the horde festival i was at. awesome set. she talks to angels is easily one of the best songs out there (bel0w).
moe; a great jam band that’s been going at it for over a decade. check out she sends me (above) to get a taste of their flavor.
the old 97′s; in a word, awesome. alas, personality conflicts and solodom took a toll. more to come with an altcountry post. twofer, check out ben lee covering question. rollerskate skinny and the new kid are also must listen-tos.
candid daydream; if not for a friend, these 4 kids from syracuse would be as lost to me as 25 year old booty. arr! they seem to be unsigned; if the geniuses in la didn’t have perez wasting everyone’s time and money, they could fund my label…
