well, the blog has just about turned one and we’ve hit what one person referred to as a “legitimacy milestone.” there was an email in the ol’ inbox this afternoon inviting us to post this new video, when my time comes by dawes (lyrics). brooklyn vegan broke the release, and then the whole blog-o-sphere had their crack at adding it, including – this – blog – right – here.
no guarantees that we’ll keep posting what gets sent our way, but this one deserves to be put up.
first, it’s a good song, and we already posted about dawes here and their album here. second, it is cool to get a little love from the internets. third, it’s worth supporting artists that you like (dawes) – and – they’re touring with some excellent bands too. the majority of the bands they’ll be out with this summer have found their way on this blog or been hidden in an easter egg or were on the short list of “song of the day” options – and currently in the cd player and on the ipod! fourth, it’s a milestone. so here’s a bit of the official blurb and upcoming tour dates.
